The milestone solidifies RCBC’s reputation as one of the region’s leading innovators in digital banking and financial inclusion.

Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) has once again raised the bar in digital finance after being named “Best Bank for Digital” by global financial publication Euromoney for the sixth year in a row, making it the first bank in Asia to receive the award six consecutive times.

“This accomplishment is a testament to RCBC’s commitment to be a digitally driven and customer-obsessed bank. We will continue to provide cutting edge banking solutions, keeping CX at the heart of our strategy. We will continue to deliver impactful solutions that are accessible, intuitive and secure,” ” said RCBC president and CEO Reginaldo Anthony B. Cariaso.

RCBC’s win comes after several notable developments across its digital platforms.

Among them is RCBC Pulz, the first privately owned digital banking app in the country that allows account opening using an international mobile number. Through partnerships with the Department of Migrant Workers and the Commission on Filipinos Overseas, the app extends digital finance services to Overseas Filipino Workers and immigrants. Pulz also has the most AI-enabled features among local banking platforms.

Meanwhile, DiskarTech, RCBC’s multilingual financial inclusion super app, continues to serve unbanked and underserved Filipinos, especially micro and small business owners. The app offers microloans, savings, insurance and even telemedicine services. It has partnered with government agencies like the Social Security System, Department of Education and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao to bring its services to more communities. DiskarTech is available in Taglish and Cebuano to ensure language inclusivity.

RCBC ATMGo, the country’s largest bank-agnostic mobile ATM network (a system or process that is designed to work with multiple banks) has also expanded its reach across the Philippines, and is now present in 100 percent of provinces and cities and 95 percent of municipalities. Over 5,000 MSMEs now serve as banking agents through ATMGo, providing them with sustainable livelihood opportunities. The network also uses Starlink satellite internet to serve remote and off-grid areas.

In partnership with the Department of Tourism, ATMGo supports digital payments in tourism. It is also the first in Southeast Asia to offer manual withdrawals for VISA and Mastercard debit cards. The majority of ATMGo’s users are rural women, and 70 percent of the platform’s transactions involve government aid and disbursements.

“This six-peat is more than a milestone, it’s a mission in motion,” said RCBC executive vice president and chief innovation and inclusion officer Lito Villanueva. “We are proud to pioneer solutions that are contextual, inclusive, and deeply impactful. This honor is shared with our partners and clients whose trust fuels our resolve to uplift lives and empower communities through world-class digital finance.”

RCBC’s sixth Euromoney win sets a new benchmark for digital banking excellence in the region and underscores the bank’s continued commitment to making financial services more accessible to every Filipino.
