(As released) CEBU CITY, Philippines — DiskarTech, Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC)’s pioneering multilingual finance super app in Taglish and Cebuano, was named “Best Disbursement Partner” in the Digital Bank category for the third consecutive year at the Social Security System’s (SSS) Balikat ng Bayan Awards held September 17, 2025 in Cebu City.
The award recognizes RCBC’s significant success in digital SSS benefit and loan disbursements, totaling billions of pesos and reaching many members, especially those in remote areas.
Launched in 1995, the Balikat ng Bayan Awards honors individuals and organizations that strengthen SSS programs by expanding social security coverage, ensuring accurate reporting, and streamlining benefit distribution.
RCBC DiskarTech has grown into a one-stop digital finance enabler for everyday Filipinos, including freelancers, gig workers, and digital earners, by providing easy access to government benefits, remittances, microinsurance and credit.
RCBC Executive Vice President and Chief Innovations and Inclusion Officer Lito Villanueva highlighted the transformative power of technology in making social benefits accessible to all Filipinos.

Building on its mission of championing sustainable finance, RCBC DiskarTech recently partnered with SSS for the launch of the MySSS card, a Mastercard-powered debit card linked to DiskarTech’s digital services. This “phygital” (physical-digital) solution combines on-the-ground accessibility with app-based convenience, allowing members to complete the application in just five minutes from the MySSS portal to the DiskarTech app.
